Be sure to log into Chrome using a Google account (usually associated with a Gmail account). Under the Mac Section, download the 64 -Bit zip file. Google Chrome updated itself as 67.0: and then, when I restart, Google Chrome reports itself as 'outdated' and brought me to a download page, and let me download a.dmg image.
